Hey Chuck,
We had this problem originally also.
The layout is like this
Tier2 7 5 3 1
Tier1 9 8 6 4 2

Without any tapes in the cartridge magazine, click on the Library Map.
Click on each tape location and look at the Element Address. It seems
to change after you have tapes in and have loaded/unloaded tapes(Not
sure why).

Subject: TS2900 Media Library Loading Question

Hi Folks,

OK I've TRIED to figure this out with no luck.

If you put more than 5 tapes into the cartridge magazine what is the
secret to getting it to loading the tapes in order?

I have it set as sequential and here is the tape layout:

Tier 2 000002 000001
Tier 1 000000 000017 000016 000015 000014

I assumed (ya I know...) it would read right to left Tier 1 and then
right to left Tier 2.

I load 000014 and it drops 000001 down to Tier 1 first spot on the right
(where 000014 was). I then unload 000014 and instead of going to 000015
it loads 000002 !!!

Help :-)

Thanks!

Chuck
