I'm not saying they don't add up as shown below, they do. I think the problem is understanding the term unused space. I thought unused space might be an area on the system where space was waiting to be reclaimed so it could not be used until some action is performed, such as an IPL or rclstg. I now see it as exactly what is says - unused.
