We are a Mimix shop. One of the things we "should" do before a switch is
compare shares between primary and backup. Of course, many of the
developers created a share called 'root' that goes to the root (or '/')
directory. However that's one of those things that some in the midrange
world consider a major security breach. I do not think it is a security
breach, because, again, it's only security by obscurity. If your security
is weak enough that they can get to a directory using a share to 'root'
than they can get to it using a dozen or so other utilities.
Still an automated way would be nice. I guess I could call Lakeview and
see if Mimix has a utility...
