Eve said she has no
current plans to discontinue printed magazines, yet the responses have
been "print is more effective" and "going digital would not work for
me". Gee, she just told you she WASN'T going to eliminate the print
magazine.

Yeah, every time I read/hear something like that, I'm reminded of a
furniture plant in West Point, Ohio. The company was definitely in trouble,
but on the news for every interview, management would say, "We have no plans
to close the plant at this time." One day at noon the big boss again said,
"We have no plans to close the plant at this time..." and at 12:30 he
announced the closing of the plant. "At this time" is a phrase easily
abused and so misleading. And there are many like it. Another great one
is, "we have no definitive plans..."
