We merged multiple systems together. We had numerous processes dealing
with EDI that would distribute data. We ended up biting the bullet and
rewriting parts of it.

Except that I don't have the source code for App A. Can't rewrite it (in fact, the reason I want to do this is to build an adapter that I *can* rewrite).

I guess the thing that confuses me most is determining the network ID. I think I understand how to specify the partner LUname. The question is ifI let the network name default to *LCL, is APPC smart enough to figure out that it doesn't need to go over the network to get there.
