Is IBM depreciating the hardware or OS names? When did the DB2 database do a name switch? Maybe we're really DB2 (instead of AS400 or iSeries or i5 or System i or RPG or COBOL) programmers and just don't want to rebrand ourselves.

What is interesting, is that your IBM link has only got System i classes.
No IBMi/iSeries.

If you want to confuse the branding, just go to an IBM website.. Seems to
me that if you have this incredible OS on the best server on the planet,
you would want to be a tad more consistent. That might help the community..

Rob,

The OP did not ask. The message to which I replied offered it.

People, read the small print on Trevor's response:
IBM does not provide AS/400 training any more..

The OP didn't even ask for AS/400. They asked for IBMi/iSeries. For
this, IBM does offer training. See some of my earlier emails.

IBM does not provide AS/400 training any more..

The IBM Academic Initiative has curriculum for colleges that is IBM i and
Power Systems
Related. See here for details:
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/university/academicinitiative/

And, the list is much much longer than "hardly any":

There are also some colleges still teaching. I think the one I went to
in
northern Illinois cancelled their courses, But I know Gateway tech in
south eastern Wisconsin still teaches courses.
