I'd have to be debugging a production web job and happen upon one of the random times it happens. Given that our web threads are very busy it's unlikely that they'll let me do that. It's very random when it happens.

I've got a code change ready for review that will check right after socket() for a negative descriptor, then fetch errno() and dump. That should get me pointed in the right direction.
