See the very last post for the following sentence. Once the entry for
Production was removed the sign on became instant.

2) In the PC Control Panel>Users Accounts>Advanced>Manage Passwords> there
must be no entry (cache) for any target (application) server. It seems the
cache is used ahead of Kerberos.
