Pay attention: in both articles in the RPG examples, binary fields are not
defined/translated correctly.
2 Byte Binary are defined as 2B 0 (which is NOT correct! The definition must
be either 4B 0 or better 5I 0).

is part of the base OS.
something called "field procedures" I would like to use:

Print to PDF. Is that new? The red book says PDF files are written to the
IFS. I wonder if they show up when you work with the output of a job.
and pricing wise, we appear to be pretty close to AIX
