hi folks,
One of our company VP's is getting a SQL0518 when trying to connect via
Microsoft Query (via the iSeries Access ODBC driver) to our IBM i database.
The message is something like "Prepared statement FIFABTALL0002 not
found" (I may have gotten the name of the prepared statement wrong, I'm
going from memory.)
We recently upgraded IBM i from v5r4m0 to i 7.1 -- and that may have
been where this issue began. He was originally running V5R4 of iSeries
Access (despite that the OS was now 7.1) but, I tried upgrading his PC
to IBM i Access 7.1, and the problem remains.
He is running Windows 7 and Office 2007 (if that matters.)
A Google search found many PTFs for msgSQL0518 related issues, but they
all seemed to be for earlier releases of the operating system.
The PC that I use does not exhibit this problem, but I'm running Windows
XP, so that might be the difference.
