It's Jeff but you can call me James because that worked like a charm!  Very
simple too.  I tried using Google with  multiple keywords but apparently
just not the correct ones.

Did you determine if your printer in question accepts a ftp of a pdf file?

There are multiple posts on other forums (google 'ftp pdf to iseries
printer')
including sample code, so you pgm could mail if you've got an email address,
or ftp to the printer.
