I have created a sample RPG module (and a bare-bones program fortesting

that it returns local-time epoch, let me know and I will send the
correction. Code is at: http://code.midrange.com/2040a00004.html
That is SLICK! I thought I'd come up with a simple solution (SUBDUR),
but this is even better (and doesn't require the time zone to be either
hardcoded or explicitly retrieved).
Thanks. About the only thing mine has to recommend it is that it works
in the default activation group, which isn't really a factor, since
yours will also work with ACTGRP(*CALLER), if necessary.
The only potential issue I can see is with Daylight Saving Time.
