Tomasz,

What is the reporting software? Is it running on the Series i or is it running on a PC or Server?

If it's running on a PC or server, then an ODBC driver of some sort is involved. Double check the Data Source settings you are using for this reporting software. You might try creating another data source and changing some of the data and translation options to see if it makes a difference.

I know that when I've dealt with JDE double-byte data, I could get different results between interactive, ODBC download to MS Query and download to Crystal Reports. I haven't worked with the data enough to lock down the "rules" for interpreting double-byte correctly every time.

Also check the file's and system's CCSID values to make sure they are appropriate and not at 65535.
