You can always download the recovery dvd from fixcentral. Same place
you can get upgrade images to get it to lastest level with all efix
installed...

Yes, I did Save HMC data.

Ah, the recovery media...  Not sure we have that.  I inherited the job and a consultant upgraded the HMC.  I have a USB drive she made with a backup prior to the upgrade.  Plus the CDs that she used to do the upgrade.
