Everyone's right. :-) A partitioned table can span lpars or systems if
you have the right option of the OS on. For example if you have a table
broken up into partitions (members) you can set it so each partition is on
a different system. For example if your partitions were named HONGKONG,
BURROAKMI, CHICAGO, JUAREZ. I believe it's the same option of OS that
will allow rows to automatically go to the right partition. For example
if the column CITY is equal to HONGKONG then put the row in the HONGKONG
partition.
