Thank you for the help. One last question. Is there anything I can
use to determine the select/omit criteria on logicals? I haven't been
able to find this, not even with DSPFD to an outfile. Maybe I over
looked something.
  Overlooked the TYPE(*SELECT) of DSPFD:
     *SELECT
The select/omit attribute for logical files is provided.
Model Output File QAFDSELO in QSYS "System outfile for DSPFD
TYPE(*SELECT)" with format QWHFDSO:
     ...
     SONRUL Number of Select/Omit Rules
     SOFLD Field
     SORULE Select/Omit Rule
     SOCOMP COMP Comparison Operator
     SONVAL Number of Select/Omit Values
     etc.
  The API QDBRTVFD I would expect must expose that information as well;
or if not there, then API QUSRMBRD.
With SQL derived INDEX support, there may have been some additional
metadata stored in some database cross-reference files. However even
if, probably unlikely to have also been added anything similar for the
DDS Slt\Omt; i.e. the "view definition" might have been extended to
include the index definition to expose the expressions and WHERE clause,
or even QADBKFLD modified to show something more for an SQL INDEX, but I
suspect nothing about the S\O details [especially non-key] or derived
keys is exposed from the DDS-created logical files.
