Upgrading to a newer system not only gets you superior performance and capability, but also reduced operational costs (power consumption, AC, etc), as well as considerable saving on support...  Depending on workload, you might even downsize tiers (P30 to P10) and save on vendor support costs. 

This isn't my specialty, but upgrading seems a reasonable path to significant savings, as well as eliminating your interactive throttle.

We are on an older system which has the interactive throttle. i've seen 
both Max300 and GoFaster, but both are expensive. I was wondering if 
there was another way to deal with the issue.
