OK
End user prefers to not "attach" a spool file, rather I am using
SPOOLMAIL/SNDSPLMAIL to place text INLINE in the email message itself
(like this text is - in the msg area).
Would creating a stream file allow text in the email message and not
require an attachment?
The gap is caused by the OS seeing an overflow condition and adjusting to
what it thinks is the top of the next page I presume.

Well, in a 'perfect' world one would stop using utilities to convert spool
files to stream files to then attach to emails but instead write directly
to a stream file and email that instead. Scott Klement has some tutorials
on it. Trust me, it's not wasted knowledge - you'll reuse what you learn.
However, what would cause that gap?
- Overflow line number?
- 'skip' or 'space' before?

I am creating a printer file and writing to it.
I don't want page breaks.
The OS creates page breaks at a seemingly maximum length of what it thinks
is 22.75 inches using OVRPRTF.
Is there a way to OVRPRTF or some way to eliminate any page breaks?
Symtom is email has a white space of several inches between text lines at
each page break (of course there are no page breaks, but the OS thinks
there should be).
