Due to certain limitations of the Midrange List Server,
screen shots and other images can't be included in
replies... This is the main reason I'd choose to reply
privately to a question...
I have no argument with that. But when the questions asked do not
call for an image or formatted/long-winded document, then why not just
answer in the body of the e-mail?
For example:
What is the data type (including length and precision, if applicable)
of the field on the iSeries that is receiving the date?
I don't need or want an 800+ KB Word document to tell me the answer to
that. (And the document I received didn't even contain the answer. I
only had enough patience to read that the conversion/upload tool is
*supposed* to convert Excel dates (i.e. floats interpreted as days
since epoch) to IBM i dates. But that doesn't tell me what exactly
*is* on the OP's i.)
