Hi Folks, I couldn't get the cat to run but got sed working and I'm not sure it'll work every time but I'd like to know I can make sed default to print the entire file since this is what I'm using now;
sed -n '1,99999p' /TEST/list1.txt | rfile -wQ qsys/qsysprt
Thanks, Frank

Based on the Info center, and some testing, you may have to not use the "b"
ption of rfile
-b
rocess binary data. This option prevents normal processing for newline
haracters in the input or output stream. When -b is omitted, newline
haracters are removed from standard input lines written to a record file,
nd newline characters are inserted at the end of records written to
tandard output.

 Try:
cat /fbtest/BIL092423_(etc) | rfile -wbQ -c "ovrprtf qprint
 splfname(my_print)" qprint
(Of course, replace (etc). I got lazy.) (All of the above on one line.)
