Depends on your needs, but if you want it to behave as a library you'll want random. If you want it to behave as an autoloader, then sequential. I tend to use both based on what I'm doing, but going from sequential to random almost always demands an IPL of the controller card. If this library is controlled by a card with an IOP, you need to do both cards, not just the IOA. Be careful to be sure nothing else (DASD) is being driven by the IOP or it's gonna be a long day.
