Alan,

Just remember that you can wrap/encapsulate your SQL sentence as a view.
This can simplify a lot your table queries. In fact, regarding your post I
had created a view with a code similar to Tom's (although using LENGTH in
order to accommodate for different values of "xxx/yyy"), but had to get out
of the office for a while and when I returned I saw that you already had a
response.
