I think that if you leave off the option allocated-length value, it will 
give it what you want - the documentation says that if you don't include 
the (n) for allocated amount that the data is stored in the varying part 
of the file - I've seen this in SST - it is a separate data space, and 
only when the allocated length is 0 does all the data go there.
