RE: Email *USERASCII spool file as PDF attachment

If you're on 6.1, you should be able to change your print file to generate the PDF directly into an IFS file (.pdf)...

DEVTYPE *AFPDS
TOSTMF /Export
WSCST *PDF

This would create a system named pdf file in the /Export directory in the IFS.

Then, a *STMF attachment to the email should suffice.

Is there any product for the i that will allow the email of a *USERASCII
spool file as a PDF file?
Since the *USERASCII spool file can not be viewed or copied, my current
email program is not able to do this.
