I had been wondering why some device descriptions would suddenly go missing.

Found out today that the non-resident sa has seen the message (don't
have the message id) that a display device is partially damaged. He
deletes the damaged object. Users then complain that they can't get
to the i. But, not to him.

QAUTOVRT is set off.

Question: Do the partially damaged objects need to be deleted? I am
wondering if the OS fixes them if it can.
