When using syspartitionstat, perhaps adding date last updated
might be of use. Since it runs so long (really long, really
really long; like I just left my laptop run it last night
instead of taking it home) you may want to get it the first
time.


It's entirely possible there is something very wrong with both
the first and second SQL statements.

One thing that I do is run

Create table ZIBMLIB/fileinfo as
( SELECT * FROM QSYS2/SYSPARTITIONSTAT WHERE DELETES > 0 )
with data

This creates a file from the view in QSYS2. Then the SQL
statements I posted earlier can be run against this new file
instead of against SYSPARTITIONSTAT and they will run much faster
because data is not being dynamically retrieved along with the
calculations and selection criteria.

Of course, you want to replace ZIBMLIB with a library that
actually exists on your system.
