The print server supports IPP but I haven't quite got it to work yet even though the the instructions at the link you provided are pretty easy to follow.

I'll give it a bit more time and tries but may fall back to the i Access and emulation approach....

Creating a printer device that uses Internet Print Protocol (IPP) should work.

It's simular to use an PL or SNMP driver, but IPP only requires a
print server that supports it, whereas SNMP and PJL drivers have to be
supported by both the print server and the printer...
