Frankly these days you'd have to work really hard to even buy a computer that didn't have the memory and horsepower to run RDP.

That said it is Java based so the more memory the merrier.

_The_ biggest boost to productivity is a second (or even third) monitor. Save a few bucks on the PC configuration, if you have to, and add a monitor or two.
