Did I ever say I didn't believe him ?  Uh, No. 

I said I wanted to know the information for the mythical device :-)

Canon does appear to have direct print, but not for TXT or PRN and PDF is extra $$$$.

It does seem to have voice command though.  "Please print and assemble my documents automatically". 

"Please make me some coffee."

"Could you clean my shoes too and write some code."

In any case, the number of devices that have print processors other than PCL or Postscript re pretty limited and are probably MFP devices.

But if you don't want to believe him...how about Canon?
