Let me ask what may seem like a silly question...

What do you mean by RDP? Remote Desktop Protocol? What is the name of the product?

No.
I am just using a direct TELENT (Emulator) session to connect.
I want to use RDP, but keep getting the error that the DRDA server not active.

The NETSTAT command shows the DRDA server active and listening on the proper port.

Do you have a client that timed out but the server connection job is
still active? For example, did a Client Access session time out but
the interactive job is still active?

I am connecting to an i.
In i Nav, verify connection, I receive the following error:
CWBCO1022 - Remote Port 446 will be used
CWBCO1003 - Sockets error, function connect() returned 10060
CWBCO1048 - A timeout occured attemtpting to connect to the iseries.

The remote site is running R7.1.
DRDA server (port 446) is active on the remote site.

Why can I not connect?
There is no firewall and no vpn.

Are you connecting an i to an i? If so, you'll need to add a
relational database entry (ADDRDBDIRE).

I have a client that I connect to via direct TELNET (no VPN).
All Host Servers are started at the client.
NETSTAT shows: * * 446 105:34:50 Listen
* * drda 105:34:50 Listen
