Daniel,
(Running V5R3, but the principles, IMHO, should stay the same).
The name of the program that is executed with GO SAVE 21 is, IIRC,
QMNSRBND. It is quite complex and I believe you would be better served by
just typing 21 (don't press enter) while in the GO SAVE menu and then
pressing the help key. The help text shows you all the commands that are
run under a GO SAVE 21 option.
I don't know if it can be run with a WRKJOBSCDE (never tried it), but my
best guess would be *no*, as a GO SAVE 21 implies the ending of
susbsystems, including, of course, QBATCH and its similars. In a worst case
scenario, you could just create a small CLP that recreates the GO SAVE 21
options and just add a delay before it. Run it in your console when leaving
Friday afternoon.

I have three questions. First, what is the name of the program that is
executed by the option 21? Now that we are on V7R1, I would like to
retrieve the source and customize it for our shop. My former boss had a
version that we still use, but he has retired, and I'm not sure we're
getting everything.
Second, can this new program be run through WRKJOBSCDE? I am getting
of either staying late on Fridays or getting up early on Saturday to domy
full system saves.up
Third, if I can't run this through the scheduler, is there a way to set
a PC to act as the console and remote into it? We don't have budget moneylist
for one of those HMC's you guys talk about.
Thanks
