Subject: Re: Newbie questions: installing i5/OS V5R4M0 on a 9406-800;
re-usinginstalled license keys.
Certain servers require V5R4M5 over V5R4M0. For a list of those I suggest
you check out:
http://www-947.ibm.com/systems/support/i/planning/upgrade/osmapping.html
I don't think your server is one of these. UNLESS it has some special
card or something that may want it. Low probability.
Can someone else on the list confirm or deny if there's a download here
ftp://testcase.boulder.ibm.com/fromibm/os400/
that will change his media from V5R4M0 to V5R4M5? Is
R545_I_Base_01_RSF.iso a combo of the boot and Base 01?
I see nothing on WRKLICINF to print the keys. IDK of anything in iNav to
display those keys either.
See also "changing your system language" or something like that in the
V5R4 Infocenter.
