Another possible advantage of *IMMED is that if some service programs take a long time to load, all the startup time is at the beginning. Users often can forgive a long initial load time more than they can forgive a sudden lag while they have started working with an application.

The other side to this issue is that for some service programs whose procedures are infrequently used, such as service programs related to exceptions, it might be better to delay loading them if they have a long load time.
