Some backup planning work I am doing resulted in this issue.
I found there are literally thousands of log files in the IFS that I have
no need of. Examples:
/easy400apc/logs had 2 log files for every day going back to 2005. Most of
them were empty.
/QIBM/UserData/OS400/MGTC/service had 2 log files for every day going back
to 2008. These actually had stuff in them, but I don't know why I would
need them now.
All of the above log files prior to today's date have been blown away.
I wonder where else there are unneeded logs? Do some of you have a
comprehensive way to remove them? What if some don't have a .log extension
or live in a directory named logs? How do you even find them?
I need to keep the IFS cleaner.
