Okay thanks Rob, I may go this route in the future, however, at the moment
I have SQL triggers and would like to resolve this issue without having to
make changes to the production code. Boss probably wouldn't approve to go
back and redo.

You can, of course, get more details. From the help
The remote address will have the value *OMITTED if receiver size
option (RCVSIZOPT) *MINFIXLEN was in effect for the journal when the
entry was deposited or if the fixed length data option (FIXLENDTA)
in effect at the time the entry was deposited would have omitted
this data. The value will also be *OMITTED if the journal entry was
not deposited on behalf of a remote client.
