easy way is to get another twinaxial device, not so easy way is to change
the console type to lan console and pray, pray that you dont have the T5
port in use, that client access can be arsed to do the whole bootp stuff
and that it finally connects. I do this for a living and i hate having to
configure a lan console from the panel... In any case, all the info is here
and on the manuals, search for function 65+21 and you should find all the
info needed. worst case scenario, even if it doesnt want to start the first
time, force shutdown with fuction 08 and start to DST, it will sooner or
later work. (it may take several mode changes, internal adapter
enable/disable, delete adapter config)...
Best Regards,

I'm guessing I am wrong. What about changing console to a LAN console? My
"adventure" this last week has left me curious. System value QCONSOLE on
the system I work with was set to DSP04. All I (eventually) had to do was
create a new SST device - since, at the time, I was unclear on how to reset
both the device and the front panel. Later, I tried to delete QCONSOLE and
got a message saying could not be done. So, going out on a limb, I am
wondering if there is a reserved device defined in SST/DST named QCONSOLE.

Really on a limb, compared to many other people.

other devices defined but varied off.
i've set up a telnet session via pc,
but won't give me logon - says auto config
not on (it's not).
So with no working console, no telnet,
ftp is off, - is there anything from
front panel to vary devices on?
Any other ideas - other than get a diff
twinax terminal?
