Are you at 6.1 or 7.1? Then you can set up your image catalog to use an NFS mount so the target partition simply reads the source partition image catalog. Look up NFS/Image Catalogs.

Right now I'm saving the image catalog directory to a SAVF, FTPing the SAVF to the TARGET, restoring the directory with a different name, Creating an image catalog, adding image catalog entries by copying them from the directory I restored from the SAVF... Yuck!

As I already said, there must be a better way!
