Hi Joel

I know I'm replying late to this, but I think there's a point of confusion here.

A UNIQUE attribute on a PF is not a primary key constraint. The latter is an SQL concept. You can't create a primary key from DDS. You CAN ADDPFCST to add a primary key constraint to a PF from a command line.

Hence, one of the replies talked of using a few ALTER TABLE statements to effect what you want.

But because this is not an SQL attribute, Chuck's CHGPF idea is what I would prefer doing.

OK, it IS the weekend!

Can I either:

1) Remove the UNIQUE attribute of the column using SQL ALTER, or

2) Can I DROP the field and ADD the column back to the BEGINNING position (1st column)?

Thanks!
