Richard Schoen makes a valid point. Cheap and easy for someone to begin
programming on Windows/Linux/Apple.
Very few options exist for a person to get onto an IBM i.

most new app developers will select Windows or Linux because they can

host a cheap version of their app on one of these servers at Rackspace
or Amazon and Viola instant Saas.
