In most any database, on most any system, there is something called the
system catalog. On IBM i they are accessible through a series of views:
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v7r1m0/topic/db2/rbafzcatalogtbls.htm
The view you are interested in is:
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v7r1m0/topic/db2/rbafzcatsyscol.htm
You can use your Crystal Reports, Excel, or iNav, to query this and have
your way with it.
On another tack, if you're using iNav, and you find the table or view you
want information on, you can pick the option "Generate SQL" and it will
show you the syntax used to create that table or view.
