There's missing information that makes this almost impossible to decipher.
/JavaPDF/pdfbox-app-1.6.0.jar PDFToImage -imageType jpg -outputPrefix /artjr/ -startPage 1 -endPage 1 /jack/test.pdf
This isn't a CL command and it isn't a valid QSH line. Did you mean
java -jar /JavaPDF/pdfbox-app-1.6.0.jar PDFToImage -imageType jpg -outputPrefix /artjr/ -startPage 1 -endPage 1 /jack/test.pdf
That would make it a valid QSH line, I think, depending on how the manifest in the jar was set up.
If so, try it like this
java -Djava.awt.headless=true -jar /JavaPDF/pdfbox-app-1.6.0.jar PDFToImage -imageType jpg -outputPrefix /artjr/ -startPage 1 -endPage 1 /jack/test.pdf

I have used PDFExtract from the jar successfully to extract the text from a PDF
I'm now trying to use PDFToImage as part of my web page printing problem.
When I run this command
/JavaPDF/pdfbox-app-1.6.0.jar PDFToImage -imageType jpg -outputPrefix /artjr/ -startPage 1 -endPage 1 /jack/test.pdf
I get the following errors. I have java.awt.headless=true in my /QIBM/UserData/Java400, and it works for the PDFExtract
