  Do not overlook [server or client-based] tooling that can access a 
database *FILE object as a /directory/ of stream files under the 
/QSYS.LIB file system, with each _file_ having a _file extension_ of 
".mbr".  Also a clearer definition of what is desired for an output file 
might elucidate the actual requirements to the reader; although 
admittedly, there is unlikely to be an existing solution that effects 
exactly what is desired.
