  Yet another reason to use QDATETIME vs QDATE if retrieving either or 
both of the date and time from system values.  For QDATETIME the format 
of the value is fixed\static vs variable according to DATFMT and DATSEP 
[or TIMSEP] of the job, thus one can depend consistently on the "format 
of the field is YYYYMMDDHHNNSSXXXXXX where YYYY is the year, MM is the 
month, DD is the day, HH is the hours, NN is the minutes, SS is the 
seconds, and XXXXXX is the microseconds."
