I'll first say that I have not used NUT, and have not installed it.

However, I have found the source download located here:
http://www.networkupstools.org/download.html

You should easily be able to download, unpack, compile & install if the requirements are met. I see that their SUSE link takes you to a search page, which is not very helpful.

Following the instructions here:
http://www.networkupstools.org/documentation.html
*should* get you up & running. Pretty much a typical ./configure, make, make install, and then getting the config all taken care of after that.

Glancing through the doc, it looks like if you have the man page for upsd, then there is the possibility that it is installed.
