Granted there are holes in the newer products, but they are being filled 
over time.  In any case nothings happening to the thick client until at 
least the next version comes out anyway.

As to Win8,  I think the changes are quite large since the user 
interface changed so much, and it's going to take some time to get 
through the QA cycle with it.  It's still such a small market that I 
would not spend any money on it yet.
