The case that can be made is that the software is where the competitive
advantage lies today... It's all about understanding and using the tools.
Didn't you just admit in your last post that you don't have a good understanding of "the tools"? Wasn't that your biggest challenge? Just imagine how a line of business manager might feel about managing software development. They know their business, but don't have confidence in their ability to run a software business too.
