I wonder who that might be? Someone in Orlando? :)

Actually this is much bigger than and IBM i thing - it's a corporate deal, and the 3rd party says what they want from us - they recreate invoices from "source" material, including text and signatures.

This stuff is all after the fact, too - we generate the stuff and create PDFs already - but the 3rd party won't accept that.

Sigh! We've asked, as I understand it! Not just this division, either!

I know of a company who could streamline the entire process for you where you might not need to outsource printing and bill presentment unless the 3rd party is providing all of that for you economically :-)

Then you probably wouldn't need PAGSEGs :-)

Yeah, Charles - don't I wish we could send a PDF. The service company will take only separate files. Who knows? Less disk space? I don't know
- wasn't in on the early stages. We're sending text files with FCFC, yet I think they are not even using the FCFC info for locating stuff when replicating the invoices - again, I've strongly hinted, but they still seem to be kind of guessing at things. Sheesh!

These signatures originate on our system by being uploaded from handheld devices that our service specialists in the field use, uploaded as BMPs, then converted to and stored as PAGSEGs.

I'm hoping that our system is "calling home" and will get a call about it from IBM - will check with our sys admin.

Thx
Vern

Vern, do you really need text & signature separate? Or is that simply
the most basic that the service company accepts?

I assume you've got a process that actually prints an invoice with
signature. Did you ask about sending PDF?

Charles
