Also, check the joblog for the QYPSJSVR job. Mine is in the QSYSWRK
subsystem. Both the Management system and the failing system might give
you some clues as to what is happening. I would start with the failing
system, if different than the Management Central system.

Buck,

Trying to understand more.

On the failed monitor, when you right click does it give you the option to
reset the triggers? Does it put the monitor back in a "GREEN" status?

In Properties, on the messages tab is the "Automatically reset after
trigger command has run" checked?

I have had to call IBM with several monitor issues, and have had good
response in getting them to solve "Failed" server issues.

I have a message monitor set up in IBM i Navigator. When it triggers,
it goes into 'Failed' status. I've tried creating a new one, same
thing. I'm one quarter behind on PTFs on my 7.1 system, and current on
IBM i Access.

Verify Central Systems Connection reports all green check marks.
Diagnostics reports that under Network Settings > Response time it was
unable to connect to my IBM i. Under Response Time to System i
Navigator, it reports 2ms response time except for Management Central
which is 123ms (which Diagnostics declares is 'within reasonable limits.')

The Management Central manual in the Infocenter hasn't got a
troubleshooting section. There are no obvious job logs and QHST hasn't
got any interesting entries. dspjob QYRMJOBSEL reports 'Job //QYRMJOBSEL
not found.'

Where do I find the information to debug the reason behind this monitor
failing out?
