I can't get anything to go through to the web400 list so I'm posting here in hopes that someone will be able to help.

I've installed Zend today on a V6.1.0 LPAR.

There are options for starting/stopping the ZEND subsystems on the ZSMENU but I'd like to be able to accomplish these tasks in a program.

I'm guessing:

ENDSBS SBS(ZENDDBI) OPTION(*IMMED)
ENDSBS SBS(ZENDSVR6) OPTION(*IMMED)

and

STRSBS SBSD(ZENDSVR6/ZENDSVR6)
STRSBS SBSD(ZMYSQL/ZENDDBI)

but I'm curious as to whether this will work effectively. Is there a specific user profile or JobD or anything else that should be referenced?
