Wouldn't it be faster that way? Currently, it takes about 30+
minutes to run the report.

How much time does it take to run the query? Try running it from STRSQL.

Is the report produced by Crystal Reports? Is it running on a Windows server? Is there much network traffic? Where is the time spent?

If it takes 30 seconds to run the query and 30 minutes to run the report, then optimizing your query will not help much.
